I'm a hacker who mostly does web development. I'm a bit of a FOSS nut. I'm interested in and have a little bit of experience with Linux sysadmin. I generally run some Linux/Unix variant and currently use Debian on my dev box and even have a Debian chroot on my phone. I'm currently studying data analysis. Married, one daughter.

comment Why do all my beers taste better after having aged for a couple months?
Interestingly, my own beers have all (both) been substantially better after aging for a year. Course I only have one bottle left by then. :-p

Strange. I didn't have that problem with my last brew.

comment Which brewing podcasts do you listen to?
Can't agree enough! James does a great job of making things clear for the noob, but interesting to the more experienced brewer. And he doesn't spend the entire podcast getting hammered and blathering off topic like some other podcast I've tried.

comment What equipment do I need to buy to start making beer?
Nice List. Perhaps I'm a terrible person but I've been too lazy to move to a secondary fermenter in the past. I don't think I'd say it was strictly necessary.
