Off-flavors from bottle conditioning, but not kegging Also, a smaller concern than sterilizing your sugar by boiling, but consider sanitizing your bottle caps if you currently aren't--especially if you're buying them from a bulk-bin where who-knows-what can get onto them |

What happens if a beer gets oxidized? In other words, the only time you want to aerate your wort is when it is cooled prior to pitching yeast. At all other times, be gentle with it. |

What are the easiest and hardest commercial beer bottles to re-use for homebrew? Regarding Sierra Nevada, the glue easily comes off in an Oxyclean soak--but there is still a lot of glue. I always keep these bottles seperate just to keep the water relatively clean until they go in. |

What are the easiest and hardest commercial beer bottles to re-use for homebrew? +1 for Oxyclean, after ~15-30 minutes of a soak in a sinkful of hot water + 1 scoop the labels are easy to remove--some still require a second attempt, but once the paper has peeled then a quick scrub removes all remnants of paper + glue. |

Light control during brewing process ...this is probably better as a comment to brewchez's answer than a second answer |

Is trapped air in a counterflow chiller really an aeration risk? fyi regarding hot-side aeration; I've read that oxygenating hot wort can trigger chemical reactions which produce off-flavors, not sure how much of an effect it has (or how valid that statement is) |

Will a carboy's narrow opening hinder or prevent successful wild fermentation? good to know! I'd heard (via Wyeast marketing materials) that re-pitching from a previous batch wouldn't carry over the same ratios of bugs/yeasts--so hearing a success story is great! |

Over-carbonating in the bottle ....very interesting; I might have to try that on a test batch to see if there's any noticable difference |

Over-carbonating in the bottle Good question -- I just asked "how to recap overcarbonated beer?" over here: homebrew.stackexchange.com/questions/3297/… |
