Using wormwood as a bittering agent: How much and when? @PJ thanks for that comment, I'm trying to make something that isn't over the top bitter as you can see from the 1 oz of hops at 4-6% alpha |

Is the Blichmann burner worth the money? +1 one for the comment about BTUs and that they are referring to the amount of fuel that you are using, not the amount of effectiveness of the burner. Its a very good point. |

Is the Blichmann burner worth the money? Thanks for that info. I bought the Blichmann burner today from the Home Brew Den (homebrewden.com). I timed a full boil of 4 gallons of water in 20 minutes. The time is worth more to me than the propane. I hope that I can reduce my brewing times with this new equipment. Thanks for the great answer. |

Is there anyway to tell if a glass bottle of beer is carbonated without opening it? I had no clue that it was possible just to use plastic soda bottles. That is a good idea. My local home brew store does not carry plastic bottles, so this a good way to go. I'll definitely try this. |

Is there anyway to tell if a glass bottle of beer is carbonated without opening it? I'm doing 5 gallon batches, so loosing one is not a big deal, but if I could prevent it, I would. |

Long boils are ruining enamel on stove, is there any way to prevent this? Yes, I would have the same worry. |

How to add coffee/chicory to beer? this seems to be the popular method. was it acidic? maybe that was just the type of coffee instead of the method used. |

What's the point of going all-grain? But it takes a lot more time, right? |
