Yeah, I think a monitor is probably a better idea than the alarm that I use, by the time my alarm goes off, it's probably too late.

I use propane for the turkey fryer. The water vapor is barely noticeable, but our house gets pretty dry.

Hop tea is probably the best way to isolate the flavors from individual hops without any distractions of malts, esters, or any other flavors that would come from a beer's other components.
