comment How to improve freshness bottled beer?
Is hot-side aeration bad? I'll try to avoid it then. Thanks

With infection the beer is more carbonated? Because they are losing carbonation and head retention...

How can I really determine that an infection is going on? Only but the taste?

comment Can you mash for too long?
I did once an overnight mash, not contamination but it got a low diacetyl-ish taste.

I disposed the hydrometer yesterday, I can't test the magnet. But I want to assume it was steel shot, because the brand (BrewCraft LTD) seems to not use lead.

Green wax, it melted and "release" some balls kinda gray-green I guess. I'll edit question with image.

Aright, in some days I'll rack the cider, and try to wash the yeast. I'll keep updated this question.

Oh Bernard... I love that beer! I have like 20 Bernard's bottles that I reuse, and not a single issue with carbonation or anything.
