How do you strain pellet hops out of wort or beer? This is only correct if you cool in the fermenter. Most cases I know of are cooling in the kettle. If you are strain into the fermenter when the wort is at or around pitching temperature, the aeration is acutally wanted. |

How much effect does light have on fermenting beer? You answered the "how", not the "why". |

Yeast harvesting No, I was talking about storing a yeast culture, not just the wort. |

A way get scum out when making mead without boiling? I'd say, use the finest cloth you got. Cotton diapers are said to be very good, too. A towel on the other hand has a big surface area, so it should soak up the wax quite well. |

How to clean the CO2 line? @baka That was the answer I was looking for. I saw the slot on the back of the connector, but I thought it might not be possible to open it without damaging it. I'll go for that I think. If you make that into an answer, it would be perfect ;-) |

Making a starter when reusing yeast I'll try this with my next batch. Washed the yeast from my last batch that I put into the keg yesterday and put most of it in the refridgerator and about a 100ml I used in a starter. Gonna use it in a brew tomorrow. |

Ways to better utilize hops with a coffeepress? I wasn't thinking about adding the tea immediately, but after flameout. |
