What amounts and times should I use to clean/sterilize my brewing equipment? Cool, so do you think oxiclean for cleaning, and starsan for sterilization? If so, what are the times and amounts per a gallon with oxiclean? Im sure starsan has the directions. |

What amounts and times should I use to clean/sterilize my brewing equipment? So are you recommending oxiclean for cleaning and starsan for sterilization? Also what is the cost of starsan, and can I get it at a local store? |

My first brew tastes a bit like champage. Did I do something wrong? How can you be sure that each bottle gets the right amount of yeast and sugar if you add it to the bucket first? Sorry, I know thats probably a noob question. |

My first brew tastes a bit like champage. Did I do something wrong? I fermented for 2 weeks, and carbonated for 2 weeks btw. I did add sugar to each bottle. Also, what do you meen by "full malt beer" comparatively. Sorry I am a noob. |

My first brew tastes a bit like champage. Did I do something wrong? Thanks! Great ideas here. I had a couple of questions about the things you said. When you said "add instead to a separate bucket first, and then rack the beer to that and then bottle" are you saying add the sugar to another bucket, add the beer to that, and then pour it into each bottle? |

Why are there flakes in my beer after 5 days? @Michael I actually used a flash light on the container and took the picture without flash lol. The flash was causing the picture to only see the outside of the container. Thanks for your comment, that makes me feel a little better about it :). |

Why are there flakes in my beer after 5 days? @NathanKoop I thought about that, but it may be hard to see in a picture. I will try though and get back on here. |

Why are there flakes in my beer after 5 days? That also brings up another question. I have the temperature strip like you said, is that strip always a few degrees below the internal temperature? |

Why are there flakes in my beer after 5 days? Awesome thanks for the explanation! I have not been opening it, just looking through the keg. It is a beginners kit from Mr. Beer, so its a plastic keg that is see through. |
