Alternatives to Bottling Wands I'm confused. Was the problem that the inlet to your autosiphon and the tip of your wand got plugged up? (couldn't think of a less dirty way to ask that) |

How does lemon juice ferment into hard lemonade? This (sandcreekbrewing.com/beers.php#hard_lemonade) is the only hard lemonade I buy. The first time I tried it at the Great Taste of the Midwest I was blown away at how good it was. This (heavytable.com/…) gives some insight into how they make it. I should email them |

How does lemon juice ferment into hard lemonade? I think I might try that. Seems like with that water to lemon juice ratio, the pH should be high enough. Have you tried this? |

How does lemon juice ferment into hard lemonade? @Graham There's not a lot of tradition, but people are doing it. If you can get your hands on Sand Creek's hard lemonade, give it a try. Orange juice just doesn't fall into fermenting naturally: you don't use the skins to gather the juice (unlike grape juice or apple cider); and it's drinkable on it's own (unlike lemon juice); and it's not already a typical summertime beverage (lemonade) |

How does lemon juice ferment into hard lemonade? @FrustratedWithFormsDesigner By 'mash' I meant the ingredients you listed. Perhaps that's not a real mash, but I don't know what else to call it. Here's one recipe: forum.northernbrewer.com/viewtopic.php?t=56697. couldn't tell if Tobias was serious, and if the upvoters were serious... I'm trying to make something like Sand Creek hard lemonade or (ugh) Mikes |

My cider stopped fermenting until I swished it around in the bucket a bunch, then continued. Is that normal? 4 gallons of cider, a gallon of various malts and water, half ounce of hops. it's both i guess. look up graff recipe and you'll find a thread about it going back a few years |
