How to make the best beer with arduino? I would add that you could just weigh the fermentor before and while the wort is in it. Since you know the volume, the weight will give you the density. As fermentation proceeds, the weight will drop (as C02 is released) |

What to do when gravity comes out too low? I experienced this today - the problem was that I took a reading before shaking the fermenter for about 3 minutes. Taking a reading after this mixing gave me the figure I expected (1.050 vs 1.032 before) |
