Just found it with a really long Google Search string: eckraus.com/pressure-relief-valve-pin-lock.html

comment Missing Gas Tube
The o-ring needed replacing anyway, so I used a knife to pry up, using the o-ring for leverage, rather than the tube. Thanks! For anyone in the future, it looks like the gas dip tubes are so short you can't feel them from the inside...Thus my mis-understanding.

It looks like you're right. I think it's stuck in the keg. I looked closer and the whole for the gas peg looks like it has a rubber gasket on it. I think it's the o-ring. I"ll have to try prying it up tonight.

I'm pretty sure. I've checked both the hole and the post. I'll re-check, because they guy I bought the kegs from said he'd used one of them...

comment What is the best way to stop fermentation?
You'll need to clarify: Are you looking to make a beer, with ginger, or a ginger-beer (the soda; the type you'd put in a dark and stormy?). The answer below seems to assume a regular beer with a primary/secondary fermentation. But your question implies you don't want to produce an alcoholic beverage.

comment Butter Flavor in Non-Alcoholic Rootbeer Recipe (Harry Potter Inspired)
Butter flavoring (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diacetyl gross, yes) is the same as the butter off-flavor you can unfortunately get during homebrewing. You could try adding a small amount until you find the butter flavor is detectable, but not gross.

comment Can I reuse a failed starter?
It doesn't sound like a good idea...yeast eating other yeast. I'd give it a try with an inexpensive dry yeast to start with, if it doesn't smell awful after a few days, then try it with your good yeast.

I don't think you understood my question... The beer is already bottled. I just want food recipes that might taste good with faulty beer

comment Fermentation Activity in the first few days
Hah, just came back to this post. FYI: the beer turned out ok for my first brew. Trying to remember the flavor I feel like it was slightly ester-ey, but I enjoyed it anyhow.

comment Will a “pink bubblegum medicine” flavor dissipate?
I have had commercial brews that tasted just like this. Most Belgians distinctly remind of of bubblegum, actually!

comment How do you calculate a beer's nutrition facts?
I know that, I was mainly curious. But it's an important question if you try to keep track of your food consumption.

comment Legalities of Selling my homebrew?
Hope you don't live in MA, or KS... Wikipedia: List of Alcohol laws by state...PLEASE note, that this list is only a good starting point, it is not good legal advice. I could theoretically modify it to say that sacrificing a chicken is a legal pre-req. for selling beer in Hawaii and you could be unfortunate enough to see it before someone edited it away.
