THe only problem I see about putting it in the garage is when temps dropat night... It has been in the mid 70s during the day lately, but drops to low 60's at night.... Anyone see problems with this?

Its about 70 deg in the basement. I moved it to the garage and roused the bottles. We will see what happens... If it doesnt work how would I add more yeast. I am really frustrated because the few I have popped open have a great taste, but no carbonation

This sounds like a problem I had with a wheat beer that I added peache puree to.... I THINK... it fermented.. but I cannot get it to carbonate... should I try taking it out of my basement and move it to the warmer garage?? maybe that will help?

I cannot get the link at work... for some reason they don't want us looking at beer stuff while working (wonder why?). its avail on Midwest Homebrew Supply's website. The kit is affordable at $25 and easy.

Thanks... racked this weekend. Smells great, should be ready by thanksgiving or Xmas. Would it be a bad idea to do this cold crash on every batch?

thanks for the advice. But another newbie question... by getting the beer cold as possible what do you mean? Should I put the carboy in my beer fridge? In a cooler spot in my house? If so should I let it sit in normal fermentation temps for a few weeks first? Thanks in advance for whatever Advice you cangive me. I really hope this beer turns out well. I have a beer exchange/ taste off in december. And I am hoping to use this as my entry.

I am a newbie so take it easy on me if this is a dumb question? Putting the secondary in cold will stop fermentation won't it? And by cold do you mean on a basement floor or in a fridge?
