Permanent Bottle Labels that's kinda awesome. How did the chalk handle bottle condensation? |

Any good iPhone/iPad apps for brewing? I use BeerAlchemy Touch extensively during my brew day, and love it. I have a few gripes about the number of taps I have to make when moving between a recipe screen and the calculators, but otherwise, very handy, and I don't have to schlep my laptop to the garage. |

Tap Water: Safe to use without boiling? Boiling can remove chlorine, but you have to boil it for a while, 15 minutes at least from what I understand. You can also let it sit for over 24 hours to naturally 'off gas'. However, if the municipality is using chloramine, it can't be effectively boiled off and you'll need to use carbon filtration. You can detect chloramine by placing a large volume of water in a white bucket...it'll kinda have a green tint to it. |

Reusing Yeast From previous Fermentation This can also be kinda cool; you are applying selection pressure to your yeast, and essentially you are developing your own 'house strain' over time. |
