How should I add mint to my beer? You might want to check out this related question I asked last week. I got a couple good answers from it. homebrew.stackexchange.com/questions/235/… |

How do you cool wort? This should maybe be a community wiki question, I think. |

Anyone have experience doing a decoction with a pressure cooker? It seemed to me the article was suggesting putting your entire brew kettle inside of the pressure cooker. This wouldn't work very well for me, since my brew kettle IS my pressure cooker without the lid. :) That said, even going the Mason jar route seems pretty doable. I do a lot of canning, as well, and wide mouth mason jars fit very nicely in my dishwasher. I can do a couple flats of them in one load. |

When do I add spices to spice up a holiday brew? Yep, washed thoroughly first, of course. Then I took whole cloves and shoved them into the skin of the orange. I probably used 70-100 whole cloves puncturing the orange. |

Tap Water: Safe to use without boiling? Hmm, I'm pretty sure that I get chlorinated tap water. I didn't even think about killing the yeast. Luckily, the yeast seemed very eager to stay alive, and I had a pretty good bubbling out of the airlock about 12 hours after I pitched. |
